"Paperhounds –these pieces are a unique expression from a very talented artist of our most beloved members in our family – our pets!  So lucky to have stumbled across Paperhounds in my late night quarantine searches for something to bring me happiness! Working with Sarah of Paperhounds was something to look forward to each day as we traded my pics of Cooper to her progress pics as her work came along. She likes to work right along side of you to be sure she is capturing details as you want and it only took one progress picture for me to know she was well on her way and needed very little input from me. She nailed him and his personality completely! She keeps you apprised of all shipping details (this was an international shipment) and it arrived just as she said safely and lovely!

This piece means so much to me! Thank you Sarah!"

'I really love my dog portrait!!! It has such a likeness to my little corgi, Charlie - eye expression and all! It was shipped to Alaska from Oman without any troubles. Thank you for the beautiful portrait, Sarah. You are one amazing artist and I will be back for another portrait soon.'

Sara from Anchorage, Alaska June, 2020

"Sarah painted a pet portrait of my rescue corgi-mix, Banjo. She captured his ear wisps, glossy eyes, and personality very well! The portrait arrived in the mail quickly. I appreciate that Sarah used sustainable packaging to protect the portrait and sent me a friendly message as well. Her communication is wonderful, along with her attention to detail and care in her work. Since that first painting, I have had her paint my sisters' two dogs, and am ordering one for my parents' pet. Thank you Sarah. Your portraits are so lovely and I highly recommend them."

"I discovered Paperhounds and Sarah Milroy on Instagram and instantly fell in love with her style and skill.  I loved the concept of being able to bring to life these animals that are our best friends and family through the colours, creativity, and detail of painting rather than another photo.  I could tell that Sarah works to capture the essence of our beloved pet and was amazed at her ability to put it in a painting.  Especially in the eyes of the pup.  I requested two paintings - one of my dog and one as a gift.  I was extremely pleased when I received the artwork.  Sarah is easy to communicate with, efficient, trustworthy, and my paintings were shipped overseas and came quickly and safely and were well packaged.  She was great at updating me on the progress of my artwork and I am thrilled with the result.  I cannot wait to frame and hang my painting.  Sarah is worth every penny and I recommend her work to anyone who loves their pup and enjoys beautiful artwork. "Spotted Sarah's Facebook page and made contact. Surprise Christmas present for my wife of our German shepherds.
We lost Odin sadly at Easter in 2015 and Loki was our new German shepherd
and is now 2 years old.
Supplied Sarah with the pictures and decided to go for A4 paintings of each of them. They arrived in good time for Christmas and my wife was very happy with them.
Everyone who has seen them are very impressed and can immediately recognise the dogs . So we are very happy with the pictures and would highly recommend with a 5* rating!!

"I saw some of Sarah’s work at a craft fair in Aberdeen and knew instantly this would be a perfect present for my husband. We sent Sarah lots of photos of our lovely boy and I can honestly say the first time I was sent a draft, I cried. It was incredible to think she hadn’t actually met our dog as she had captured his funny, crazy personality perfectly. Excellent communication during the whole process. Cannot thank her enough and would highly recommend to any pet lovers. Thanks Sarah- you are amazing!!"

"I heard about Paperhounds through a friend. I wanted to get my parents something special for their Christmas this year. Unfortunately the family dog passed away a couple of months ago so I felt it best to get them a specially made portrait from Paperhounds. After having a look at other positive reviews and looking at some of the fantastic works of art that had been created, I asked the artist if she were able to commission a portrait in time for Christmas.

Fortunately she said yes and it didn't take long. All that was required was some high quality photographs which were sent over email. I was kept updated over email throughout the entire process and the outcome was truly amazing!

After seeing the portrait over email first, I was amazed by just how life-like the portrait was. The level of detail was fantastic, especially in the eyes. I know my mum will be brought to tears by it when I hand it over to her on Christmas Day. She was such a special dog and this, I believe, will be such a special gift.

I loved the special touches too. Great care had been taken to wrap the portrait for delivery and the portrait was beautifully presented and wrapped with string.

A would highly recommend Paperhounds! Steven (A very satisfied customer),"

"After following Paper Hounds on Facebook and Instagram for a few months, I couldn't wait to ask Sarah to paint my dogs, Kassi and Kura. We lost Kassi a few years ago and we are so delighted to have a portrait that really captures not only her beauty but also her soft nature. We also absolutely love the portrait of Kura, whose confident and cheeky personality definitely shines through. Sarah is incredibly talented and I would highly recommend Paper Hounds. Thank you!"

"I found out about Paperhounds through a friend and was delighted with the quick and friendly response I received to my initial enquiry.  I provided a selection of photos of our beloved dog Molly to Sarah at Paperhounds and within a very reasonable time, received the most beautiful painting which captured Molly's spirit fantastically and will be a wonderful keepsake for the future.  Highly recommend Paperhounds."

"For the last year I had been thinking about getting a picture or photo done of my dog Shadow but never quite knew exactly what I wanted.
When I saw Paperhounds I knew that Sarah was the woman for the job! Her artwork captures the character perfectly.
I absolutely love my hound and absolutely love him on paper too.
Thankyou so much"

"I am immensely pleased with Sarah's painting of Molly. I asked for a painting of Molly as an older dog and Sarah captured her intense stare and aloof, independent nature in this painting. I love it! Thank you, marguerite "

"There's not enough words to express how much I love this painting of my poochy, Jake! The detail is so amazing! It feels so real, when I look at it it's as if I'm looking in to his eyes and that makes me very happy! Jake went to sleep a couple of months ago and we miss him so much every day! But thanks to Paper Hounds we have this wonderful gift that we get to keep forever and ever!
Thank you so much, from one very happy dog lover!"

"I want to thank you for sharing your artistic talent. I can't even begin to tell you what a pleasure it was to work with you. I appreciated every prompt reply and your professionalism really went above and beyond my expectations. I enjoyed being able to watch the progress of the painting as it was being done and was pleasantly surprised at how involved in the process I was able to be. The end result was exactly what I had hoped it would be. I cannot wait to give this gift to my mom, I know she is going to love it. I hope to work with you again in the future. "

"I received my art work of Glen. It is truly exceptional work. Sarah I have thoroughly enjoyed all your updates via messages and also previews of the work in progress, at each stage capturing a little bit more of his true likeness and expressions, and eventually giving the portrait depth and soul, Words alone cannot say how pleased I am with your unique talent. Thanks you so much."

"Sarah has been wonderful. I asked her to do a dog portrait on very short notice as a gift for my mum's 70th birthday. She was very friendly and accommodating, listened to my feedback on the first two drafts and was happy to do another, third version of the painting to the specific size I requested. The final painting was beautiful, high quality and arrived just in time for our birthday celebrations."

Pia, London '16

"Sarah sees the beauty in everything around her and captures this skillfully in her work. The end result is personal, charming and inspiring."
