Scottish Artist Sarah Thompson is currently based in Muscat. Oman and is a prodigious portrait painter of dogs. Other subjects include human portraits and landscapes.  With a background in Textile & Surface Design, for years she focused on illustration and prints, but when a close friend asked her to paint his dogs as a gift for his partner, Sarah quickly learned the art and love of Portraiture .She established Paperhounds in 2016. 

Her drawing passion combines perfectly with her love of dogs and she regularly assists and volunteers with Oman's local animal shelters.  In early 2018, she rescued her own pup - a Saluki street dog called Emily.

She welcomes and enjoys commission work — dogs and humans alike.
